Our Mission and History

“Sail Sand Point’s mission is to bring the joy and life-enhancing benefits of sailing and small boats to people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds…”

A HUGE thanks to all who contributed to our GiveBIG campaign last week! We didn’t quite reach our goal, but we did raise over $3500 towards sailboat repairs. As a nonprofit we stretch every single dollar to make the most of these donations, so your support is greatly appreciated. If you’re interested in helping us out with a donation outside of this campaign, you can do so securely via our website!

GiveBIG 2024 is here! As the region’s biggest two-day celebration of philanthropy, GiveBIG allows individuals and organizations to come together to invest in our communities. SSP is aiming for a modest $5,000 fundraising goal which we’ll direct towards sailboat maintenance. Each year we spend over $8,000 on repairs, new parts and replacement bits and GiveBig, if successful, will help us secure the majority of that need.

If you’re able to chip in and help us with the is goal, donate here at our GiveBIG page at the link in our bio!
