How to Find Us in Magnuson Park
The entrance to SSP is off of Sand Point Way NE at NE 74th Street. After you enter through the entrance guard station, turn left at 63rd Ave NE and go north. Turn left again at NE 77th Street. (There are usually Sail Sand Point signs, but sometimes these get moved). Turn right at the stop sign, go under the overpass and continue straight to the water.
Transit Directions
Bus lines 75 and 62 run to and from Magnuson Park. For easiest access to Sail Sand Point, use the NE 77th Ave stop. To access line 75 from the Link Light Rail, walk North out of the University of Washington station over the pedestrian bridge onto campus and continue Northwest towards the fountain. The 75 stop is to the right on Steven’s Way.

Visiting SSP
Food & Merchandise
Snacks and drinks can be purchased at the Open Boating desk during rental hours, as well as SSP merchandise and helpful items like sunscreen. There is a water-filling station onsite, and you can visit the main office for basic first-aid items. SSP is just a few steps away from Magnuson Cafe & Brewery , which has classic American bar fare and views of the lake. You are welcome to bring your own food and drink as well.
Restroom Access
Sail Sand Point has an onsite restroom with bathroom stalls, sinks, and showers for those participating in SSP programs. Visit the main office or the Open Boating desk for the key and access code. During the off-season and when SSP is closed, there are public restrooms elsewhere in Magnuson Park for public use.
